The Elder Scrolls Online - Weeks 1 & 2: The Biggest Gatekeeper - MMOMG

The first MMOMG episode for TESO is finally here... and only a couple of weeks late!

It's been tough finding time to get these done. I'm reconsidering the entire format, but the devil's in the details.

I like the idea of progression throughout the month, learning how characters improve and the game systems work. It's also easier to find the footage you want when you only have to sift through a week or so of material instead of an entire month.

I dislike the thought of making a single long video (really anything over 15 minutes is too long) of any kind, let alone for an MMO. There's some things that require a bit more explanation to cover, and trying to pack that all into one video is just a bad idea.

These are the main factors for why episodes every week or two seem to make the most sense. This particular episode took a lot longer to write too - I scrapped and rewrote a large portion of it when I realized it was more detail than I really needed. In general, the process of writing the script takes me way more time than I'm comfortable with, but I haven't been able to get faster at it. Something to look into, I guess.

You quickly meet another survivor, and working together, begin gathering supplies. More characters can be found as you play, allowing you to build a thriving settlement with a farm, workshop, market and more.

Cod of Duty - The Friday FREE GAME Feature!

Many of you might be wondering why I played this game. I did it for the halibut!

The first game for our double feature is Cod of Duty. It's a parody of the popular Call of Duty franchise that goes all in on the cod puns! Enjoy!

Togwaggle Throws The Game! Dungeon Run - RNGBS

King Togwaggle ignores the significance of Troggzor to his peril!

This particular match really has me wondering a little bit about Blizzard's AI, specifically King Togwaggle's. I've seen dungeon bosses purposely not play minions when there's a Doomsayer on the table, so I know the AI in general is programmed to avoid obviously dangerous plays.

This leaves me wondering what the hell just happened in the above match, as Togwaggle plays spell after spell (including a handful of Coins) with absolutely no regard for the fact that I have Troggzor in play.

This pretty much sums it up, yeah.

I'm not sure what it is, but somehow this latest "Yogg-Saron Tryouts" brawl felt more lopsided and RNG-dependent than it ever has, and that's saying a lot! My only guess is that the variety of spells added since the last time we saw this brawl has really affected the outcome.

Mage - Still Good In Arena! - RNGBS

It turns out that regardless of the meta, all you really need is a metric ton of removal!

Also, the dark horse pick of the entire run has to be Defias Cleaner. Between Violet Wurm, Voidlord and a number of other nefarious deathrattles, Defias Cleaner can ruin an opponent's day like nobody's business!
