This month in 1992, Super Mario Kart was released for North America on the SNES. It's wild success proved Mario and the cast of characters were a force that could dominate just about any game genre. In honor of such an influential title, this month's Mighty Minis (and FIRST) Shenanigangsta beadsprites are the brothers-in-karts!

For the Mighty Minis, we have Luigi racing along as a magnet made from Perler mini beads. Shenanigangstas get a stand-up sprite of Mario claiming victory at Rainbow Road!

Link & Triforce Keychain - August '20 Mighty Minis

 

This month in 1987, one of the best games ever on the NES, The Legend of Zelda, was released in the US and Europe. This truly epic title has influenced gaming ever since, and I'm honoring it this month with a new keychain.

Here we see Link standing triumphant in the first dungeon, having just found a piece of the Triforce. 

Yes, the colors of Link himself aren't exactly the same as the original game. Much like the programmers back then, I'm working with limitations too. Hopefully in the near future, I'll be able to afford the amazing array of colors from Artkal, but for now I've got the entire Perler minis palette (limited as it is) at my disposal.

This month is the 25th anniversary of Earthbound... which serves as another reminder of just how old I'm getting! Anyway, I made a Ness keychain!

May '20 Mighty Minis - Dr. Mario Red Virus Coaster!

Sticking with the pandemic theme another month, I figured it's time to actually portray a virus. Here's the little bugger itself - the red virus from the classic puzzle game Dr. Mario. 

Made from Perler mini beads and backed with self adhesive cork, this virus is safely contained to the point you could use it as a coaster! Unlike most of us, this thing seems pretty content on being in lockdown.

April '20 Mighty Minis - TP Roll Keychain!

This month I'm highlighting one of the more ridiculous things happening during the Covid-19 pandemic - the panic buying of toilet paper! Let us never forget to keep a few rolls in stock, as you never know when something will come along and send the public into a TP tizzy!

Patrons of my Mighty Minis tier will now at least always have a roll on hand, though I wouldn't recommend using it in that way. Maybe you can use it to hold the keys to your own personal vault of "white gold". :~P

February '20 Mighty Minis - Star Trek Magnet!

In honor of Star Trek Online's 10th Anniversary (and to a lesser extent, hopes that the new Picard series will be good), this month's Mighty Mini is a Star Trek magnet!

Made from Perler mini beads and adhesive magnetic backing, it's about the size of a communicator badge. Had I realized the size similarity (and had the appropriate hardware), I would've actually made these into pins instead. Something to consider for future projects, I guess!
