This month in 1987, one of the best games ever on the NES, The Legend of Zelda, was released in the US and Europe. This truly epic title has influenced gaming ever since, and I'm honoring it this month with a new keychain.
Here we see Link standing triumphant in the first dungeon, having just found a piece of the Triforce.
Yes, the colors of Link himself aren't exactly the same as the original game. Much like the programmers back then, I'm working with limitations too. Hopefully in the near future, I'll be able to afford the amazing array of colors from Artkal, but for now I've got the entire Perler minis palette (limited as it is) at my disposal.
To celebrate the upcoming opening of my modded Minecraft server, this month's Mighty Mini is none other than the iconic diamond! Show off your bling (or love for the game) wherever you go with this keychain!
Made from Perler beads and attached with a keyring.
Sticking with the pandemic theme another month, I figured it's time to actually portray a virus. Here's the little bugger itself - the red virus from the classic puzzle game Dr. Mario.
Made from Perler mini beads and backed with self adhesive cork, this virus is safely contained to the point you could use it as a coaster! Unlike most of us, this thing seems pretty content on being in lockdown.
This month I'm highlighting one of the more ridiculous things happening during the Covid-19 pandemic - the panic buying of toilet paper! Let us never forget to keep a few rolls in stock, as you never know when something will come along and send the public into a TP tizzy!
Patrons of my Mighty Minis tier will now at least always have a roll on hand, though I wouldn't recommend using it in that way. Maybe you can use it to hold the keys to your own personal vault of "white gold". :~P
This keychain is made from Perler mini beads and attached with a key ring.
In honor of Star Trek Online's 10th Anniversary (and to a lesser extent, hopes that the new Picard series will be good), this month's Mighty Mini is a Star Trek magnet!
Made from Perler mini beads and adhesive magnetic backing, it's about the size of a communicator badge. Had I realized the size similarity (and had the appropriate hardware), I would've actually made these into pins instead. Something to consider for future projects, I guess!
This month, I'm focusing on the success of The Mandalorian series and contributing to the Baby Yoda craze that has since swept the world!
Made with Perler mini beads and backed with an adhesive cork liner, this Baby Yoda coaster is ready to hold your favorite beverage... or a nice warm cup of soup!
Dr. Seuss was my favorite author as a child, and every holiday season I looked forward to watching How The Grinch Stole Christmas. It is with great pride that I present this month's Mighty Mini of the Grinch himself!
Made from Perler mini beads and adorned with a Grinchy green ribbon, this ornament is ready for the tree. Hopefully he doesn't stuff it up the chimney!
22 years ago this month, PaRappa the Rapper was released for the Playstation... can you believe it? In honor of what is often referred to as the first true rhythm game, November's Mighty Mini is PaRappa himself!
Made from Perler mini beads and backed with a magnetic sheet (to match PaRappa's personality)!
It's that time of year when things get spooky, so this month's Mighty Minis piece is a Castlevania bat! Made from Perler beads and given a ribbon loop, it'll make a fun addition to your Halloween (or video game) decor!
Extra Spooky Bonus: The outline around the bat glows under blacklight!
This month's Mighty Mini commemorates (or perhaps commiserates) the brave souls attending the infamous "Storm Area 51" Facebook event scheduled for September 20. This UFO with alien pilot proudly displays the number '51', suggesting it frequents the secluded location and maybe even visits their gift shop!
Made from Perler Mini Beads and magnetic backing, this UFO is ready to land on a locker or fridge near you!
I know it's been a while since the Minecraft Marathon Stream, but I've been kind of busy setting up the community server! Anyway, here's some screenshots of the builds (that I know of) people made that night!
This post covers stuff made by a variety of people (either as a joint effort or multiple builds in the same shot). Enjoy!
Patrons, your trolls are ready! I'll be sending your Shenans Perlers and Thank You Cards very soon (hopefully tomorrow)!
Thanks again to all of you for reaching the first goal! I hope to have the Minecraft server up soon, and I'll be certain to announce that when it's ready!
Here it is, the big announcement! It's time to push for that goal of getting a dedicated Minecraft server for my community!
For the next two weeks (starting April 14), I'm having a special offer. Join my Patreon at any tier to receive the following extras (in addition to the normal tier benefits):
A customized Thank You card!
A Shenanigans1930 avatar Perler beadsprite!
Access to a temporary Minecraft creative server and Discord voice channel to join me and the rest of my patrons for a special stream!
Adding extra time to the special stream (see details below)!
The piece itself will come with a ribbon for hanging (as seen in the video above)
Veteran patrons get these goodies plus some extra perks, like:
2-hour blocks of the special stream dedicated to each patron in turn!
The ability to ask me anything (AMA) during the duration of the stream!
The Special Stream
On Saturday, April 27 (exact start time TBA), I'm having a marathon stream to wrap up the special offer and to thank each and every member of my community, patron or not!
Any pledges between April 14 up until stream end will extend the total duration of the stream! The sooner you pledge, the more time you add!
April 14-20: +90 minutes
April 21-22: +60 minutes
April 23-24: +45 minutes
April 25: +30 minutes
April 26: +20 minutes
April 27: +10 minutes
All patrons may join the Discord voice channel and Minecraft creative server as they please for the stream duration (you must still follow all rules, so behave yourselves... at least a little)!
I'm super excited for this special offer and the upcoming marathon stream! I'd very much appreciate you joining my Patreon during this time, but frankly I'd be just as happy if you shared this post with all of your friends!
In honor of science fiction creator Rod Serling (and to roughly coincide with the marathon that rings in every new year on The SyFy Channel), this month's Mighty Minis patrons are getting a magnet based off the classic series The Twilight Zone! Created with Perler mini beads in a black & white aesthetic, this old TV is ready to take you to the fifth dimension!
Join my Patreon at the Mighty Minis reward tier to have an awesome Perler piece delivered to your door every month!
This month, we're celebrating Doctor Who Day (November 23) with a Tardis magnet made from mini beads! Enjoy!
If you'd like cool stuff like this sent to your door every month, consider becoming my patron at the Mighty Minis tier! They get exclusive loot, discounts on my Etsy shop, custom chat commands and much more!
