This week we take a look at Voices from the Sea. It's an anime-styled, soothing, emotional, supernatural visual novel about a teenage boy that never smiles and the girl that's determined to cheer him up. Part two is below and (obviously) contains spoilers.
I felt the game captured the teenage awkwardness that can happen in conversation pretty accurately and it was fairly easy to relate to Cantus. The story was also well paced - the days weren't too long and provided just enough development to get you to continue.
Voices from the Sea offers little in terms of replayability, but it shines with a strong delivery the first time through. The seashore setting was enjoyable to look at and the characters were quirky but endearing.
