Stuck on a train, you have 20 minutes before it collides to your doom! Can you stop it in time?
Process is a point-n-click adventure game with a couple of interesting twists.
For starters, it features a first person perspective with full panoramic view. This made the game quite immersive and gives the developer freedom to hide things almost anywhere they want.
Secondly (and more importantly), you've got a time limit. In 20 minutes, the train you're stuck on will collide to your death. This element makes for an interesting (though for some probably frustrating) scenario, since you don't have time to try things at random like you might in many other games of the genre.
My only complaint as of my first playthrough is that you're given no reason for being on the train in the first place (aka the amnesia trope). That's a fairly minor gripe though, as a number of games use it - and there may be an explanation further into the game.
What this title may lack in story, it makes up for in atmosphere. The train is decrepit and dark, but not pitch black. There's an ambient drone and several cutscenes hinting that something isn't quite right... to the point of being a little creepy. Is this a horror game? From my first run, it's hard to tell. I wouldn't rule it out entirely though.
Process kept me interested all 20 minutes, and I'll definitely be attempting it again when I get the opportunity!
